A year or more ago there was a very weird article in Jane about AmApp and (Montreal native) Dov Charney... The writer seemed to be more than willing to get it on with the greasy troll...! What gives, eh?!

I remember that! I'm thinking it was a couple years back, now. Before I really knew much about any of it. It's funny you brought it up, because I was wondering at the time if they weren't going to get it on after the interview/article work was complete. I remember reading it and thinking, "Okay, so he sounds like a bad guy. But do they agree or not?" Articles like that are one of the many reasons I started hating Jane and just let the subscription run out, finally. They try to pretend to be intellectual feminists pretending to be fluffy shallow pop culture fashion victims. But they really are mostly just more fluff. They are too afraid to truly take anyone on or say what they want about anything. Everyone gets good publicity with those people, it seems. Geez. Even their review of the latest NIN cd was way off, I thought. (Although if I knew when their annual fiction contest takes place, I wouldn't be adverse to sending them something. I'd always meant to do that.)

Agreement here, all round. These days Jane is so firmly clamped on celebrity knob and proxy-knob I can't bear it! But that Dov article was quite interesting - I wasn't sure that Dov was worse than merely tacky - since it seemed he wasn't coercing anyone, but then - he is the Boss! Now, with the latest harrassment charges...
